Topic overview:

Quarter 1 and 2 we have been learning to play the violin. At the beginning of the school year we learned simple things such as notes in general and how to hold the bow properly. We started playing the violins like we would play the guitar ( meaning without the bow) then we started playing with the bow and starting learning songs. We also had our first performance in front of an audience in December for the christmas show. Quarter 2 we have had a lot of breaks which always seem to be on a monday so we did miss out on music class a lot. But we have been learning new notes so far, more complicated ones where we have to move our fingers fast and how many fingers to put down on the strings. We have also gotten together in little group and videoed us playing songs (we got to choose between 2 songs to play for our video). I do feel i must master much more practise with moving fast with my fingers and being more smooth with the bow.

 

 

Areas of strength:

I think i have gotten the basics notes so far and the bow

 

Areas of weakness:

learning the notes we have studied this quarter, and practise much more because i get stuck in middle of songs.
